Job summary

KITS is seeking a Financial Controller to own the close, consolidate financial statements, and drive the accounting function for Canada and the US. You will lead a small team, challenge numbers with IFRS calls, and ensure audit-ready controls for a TSX-listed retailer.

The role focuses on scaling finance with robust processes, multi-entity, and multi-currency reporting while partnering with leadership on strategy and reporting.

Qualifications

• Designated accountant with public company reporting experience.
• Leads a finance team and owns month-end close and public filings.
• Deep IFRS knowledge and ability to apply judgement.
• Experience with USD/CAD reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Experience consolidating multiple entities and currencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function and a team of three reports.
• Own monthly/quarterly close and consolidation for Canada/US.
• Manage internal control framework and audit readiness.
• Oversee tax compliance and cross-border filings.
• Partner with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and investor materials.
