Remote People Ltd. in Canada seeks a hands-on Financial Controller to own the accounting and finance function across the Canadian operation.

This role is not about supervising a large back office; you will work directly with executive leadership to shape strategy and guide decisions. You’ll manage month-end close, cash flow, budgeting, and cross-border activities between Canada and the US, with multi-currency reconciliations and acquisitions support; this is a high-impact, growth-focused

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong hands-on full-cycle accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Strong ERP/accounting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for Canadian operation.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities; lead month-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting; maintain strong controls.
• Develop forecasts, budgeting, variance analysis; communicate with leadership.
• Support cross-border finance, USD/CAD reconciliations, and acquisitions due diligence.
