Job summary

Totally Raw Pet Food is expanding its delivery routes in Mainland Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and is hiring a part-time Delivery Driver for local routes. The role requires a valid NS driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work, with a schedule of 18–24 hours per week.

You will drive a delivery vehicle, pick, load and unload products, inspect the vehicle regularly, and manage fuel costs and mileage logs. Store discount and on-site parking are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have good work ethic and be reliable.
• Valid NS driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry loads up to 15 kg (33 lbs).
• Ability to load/unload orders safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting and moving of products.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicle/truck.
• Load and unload products for delivery.
• Inspect vehicle before each trip and fuel as needed.
• Maintain records of fuel costs and mileage.

Schedule:

• 18 - 24 hours a week.

Requirements:

• Individuals applying must have a good work ethic, be reliable, possess a valid NS driver's license, have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Driver's Abstract
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry loads of up to 15 kg (33 lbs.) throughout the workday.
• Ability to load and unload customer and production orders safely and efficiently.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, and moving of products as required.

The Delivery Driving portion will consist of:

• Drive delivery vehicle/truck.
• Pick, load and unload products to be delivered.
• Inspect the delivery vehicle regularly before each trip.
• Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage.
• Deliver items by the required delivery date and time.
• Manage paperwork and driver's log book.
• Ensure all delivered items remain intact during transport and delivery.
