Job summary

Fisherman9s Market International Inc. in Halifax, NS, is seeking a Local 5 ton Delivery Driver to join our delivery team. This role involves morning truck checks, loading and delivering products to airports and other drop-offs, and supporting the inside team when time allows.

The successful candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid class 5 license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a solid knowledge of Halifax geography. Hours are 38–45 per week with a starting wage of 19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local 5 ton Delivery Driver to support our delivery team. Truck would be 5 ton (8-10 pallet trucks), Automatic (no brake). Clean driving record class 5 license required.

Key Responsibilities

• Morning truck checks
• Maintain a clean vehicle
• Delivery of products to Airports and other pick up drop offs as required

Other duties to help support the inside team

When time allows you would support the inside team with

• Working inside the lobster room helping to prepare shipments for Airport delivery
• Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders.
• Pack lobster required for shipping
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained)
• Follow all safety and handling procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in local delivery an asset or strong knowledge of local routes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• A strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography.

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 38 – 45 hours per week, depending on the time of year.

Salary: $19.00 per hour, depending on experience to start.
