Job summary

Valleyview Co-op in Warman, SK is seeking a friendly grocery store Associate to join our team. Reporting to the Food Manager, you will help maintain high standards of customer service, pack grocery orders, and provide courteous front-line assistance to shoppers.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, shopping cart maintenance, checkout support, price verification, and bottle returns. The role requires availability mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with training provided.

Qualifications

• To maintain alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
• To be familiar with all goods and services provided in the unit.
• To attend training courses as directed by the supervisor.
• To handle bottle returns as directed.
• To improve product knowledge and salesmanship through training.

• To keep checkout area free of paper and debris.

• To clean shelves, bins and displays as needed.

• To keep aisles free of debris, clean and orderly.

1. To return grocery carts to store and remove any damaged carts.

2. To assist in the efficient operation of the checkout by:

• Replenishing checkout supplies as needed.

• To obtain change for the cashiers as needed.

• To verify prices on goods for cashiers.

1. To maintain a constant alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.

2. To be familiar with all goods and services provided in the unit.

3. To attend and participate in training courses as directed by the supervisor.

4. To handle bottle returns as directed.

5. To improve product knowledge and salesmanship through the attendance and participation at training courses, as directed by the supervisor.
