Job summary

Valleyview Co-op in Warman, SK is seeking a friendly grocery store Associate to join our team. Reporting to the Food Manager, you will help maintain high standards of customer service, pack grocery orders, and provide courteous front-line assistance to shoppers.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, shopping cart maintenance, checkout support, price verification, and bottle returns. The role requires availability mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with training provided.

Qualifications

Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated.
Physically capable of completing the required duties.
Must be able to improve knowledge by attending training sessions.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

To assist in maintaining high standards of customer relations and service.
To pack grocery orders efficiently, according to company expectations
To provide efficient and courteous car service as required.
Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning up breakages and spills, keeping checkout area free of debris, cleaning shelves, bins and displays, and keeping aisles tidy.
To return grocery carts to store and remove any damaged carts.
To assist in the efficient operation of the checkout by replenishing checkout supplies, obtaining change for cashiers, and verifying prices.
To maintain alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
To be familiar with all goods and services provided in the unit.
To attend training courses as directed by the supervisor.
To handle bottle returns as directed.
To improve product knowledge and salesmanship through training.
