Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License. Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership. Mandatory Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC). Eligible to apply.

This position offers entirely virtual clinical services, embracing innovative virtual methods to enhance patient care.
The Virtual Psychiatry Unit is a novel approach to providing acute Mental Health and Substance Use care across the Fraser Health Region. It offers an opportunity to work within a team-based, inter-professional environment, delivering care directly to patients in their homes via virtual channels.
As a qualified or eligible Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include providing top-tier care to adult patients, consulting at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit, and engaging in outreach to patients' residences.
This role is fully remote, including virtual on-call duties. Occasional in-person attendance for team meetings may be required.
Your services will include assessment, outpatient treatment, consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and education of psychiatry residents and medical students.
You will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of care by fostering positive relationships with all involved in patient care and advocating for patients' psychiatric needs.
