Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or completed a recognized caregiver education program.
• Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (issued within the last year).
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray (within the past 2 years).
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and personal care.
• Follow and execute the client’s care plan.
• Assist clients with ADLs within scope of practice.
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises.
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment.
• Work within training, experience, and scope of practice.
• Complete accurate and thorough documentation.
• Experience with dementia and responsive behaviors is an asset.
