Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate care to residents according to individualized care plans. The role involves monitoring resident needs, documenting care activities, and supporting a safe, respectful environment within the facility in Ontario.

You will participate in ongoing training, attend staff meetings, and assist with onboarding new staff while adhering to IPAC guidelines and maintaining high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to ensure it aligns with the plan of care.
• Assists in documentation of information pertaining to resident care.

What You Will Do

• Assists in the monitoring of care given to residents ensuring it is in accordance with the established plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to immediate supervisor.
• Assists in the documentation of information pertaining to the care of residents as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in the onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.

What You Bring

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents. Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques and be knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.

Salary Placement Based On Qualifications And Experience

Salary: $27.50 per hour
