Home Instead is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Peterborough, ON to provide one-on-one home care for clients. This role offers 15-40 hours per week with longer visits and consistent client assignments, enabling you to focus on the client and deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, mobility support, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and medication reminders.

Formación

• PSW certificate and caregiving experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting with activities of daily living, including personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and rise/retire routines).
• Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention using proper body mechanics.
• Providing companionship and cognitive, social, and emotional support.
• Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks.
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, while following food safety practices.
• Providing medication reminders in accordance with care plans.
• Promoting a safe home environment and monitoring changes in client condition.
• Supporting families through respite care and maintaining client independence.

Personal Support Worker (PSW) - | Peterborough, ON
