Job summary

CarePartners in the Niagara Region is seeking Personal Support Workers to support patients in home and community care settings. You will assist with daily living activities, promote safety, and provide cognitive and emotional support to patients under supervision.

A successful candidate will hold a PSW certificate or nursing program enrollment, have a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle, and be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current PSW certificate or enrollment in nursing program.
• Valid driver’s license (G or G2), access to a vehicle, proof of automobile insurance.
• Current vulnerable sector screening.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Promote safety through proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques.
• Provide cognitive, social and emotional support to the patient.
• Prepare meals per care plan with proper hygiene practices.
