Job summary

Home Instead London, ON is seeking caring Personal Support Workers to join our team and help aging adults stay in their homes with dignity and compassion.

Responsibilities include companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, grooming assistance, and support with daily activities. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred; training provided; variety of shifts with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience is preferred, with sensitivity to aging adults.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal prep.
• Remind about medications and appointments.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Observe health changes and report to supervisor.
• Transport clients to appointments.
• Support clients with prescribed exercises.

Requirements To Be a Care Professional

• Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial mannerComplete a criminal background check, 2 professional and 2 personal references
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
• Driver’s abstract is required
• Possess a computer and a cell phone
