Job summary

Generations Toronto is seeking a PSW Coordinator to lead resident personal care planning and supervise PSWs within approved policies. The role collaborates with senior management to promote service excellence in a multi-generational community campus in Toronto.

The successful candidate will have a PSW certificate, Long-Term Care experience, and strong communication skills. Onboarding and mentorship of PSWs are key responsibilities, with audits and quality improvement duties incorporated.

Qualifications

• Graduate PSW Certificate/Diploma per the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act.
• Experience as a PSW in Long Term Care.
• BSO certification and Imagine training are assets.
• Strong computer literacy with Word/Excel/Workday/UKG.
• Knowledge of sanitation and geriatric care needs.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate resident personal care services.
• Onboard and mentor PSWs; handle onboarding shifts and orientation.
• Monitor care quality through leadership rounds and audits.
• Audit nursing supplies, continence products and PPE per schedule.
• Promote improved practices through mentorship and education.
