Reporting to the Provincial Business Operations Manager, Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) Medical Affairs (MA), the Provincial Manager, Administrative Services provides leadership and operational oversight for physician administrative support services across CCA. The role is responsible for leading provincial administrative support teams and ensuring the delivery of efficient, consistent, and high-quality administrative services that support physician operations and MA activities. The Manager oversees recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, workforce planning, and succession planning for administrative staff. This position manages day-to-day operations, workload allocation, process improvement initiatives, and the standardization of administrative practices across the organization. Working closely with Medical Affairs, Medical Leadership, Human Resources, Finance, and Operational Leaders, the Manager supports physician onboarding, workforce planning, recruitment activities, payroll processes, resource planning, and administrative service delivery. The role also leads initiatives focused on operational effectiveness, workflow optimization, service improvement, and continuous quality improvement. The Manager is responsible for employee relations, performance coaching, conflict resolution, attendance management, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and collective agreements. In addition, the position oversees payroll, workforce and operational reporting, performance metrics, and administrative resource planning to support decision-making. Through strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to service excellence, the Manager contributes to strategic and operational priorities while fostering a high-performing administrative team that supports CCA physicians and broader organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

The candidate will be skilled at building collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders and preferably have experience working in a unionized environment, including knowledge of collective agreements, human resource practices, and workplace policies. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required, with the ability to interpret data and support evidence-informed decision-making.
