Job summary

A leading design studio in Canada is looking for a Proposal Manager to join their Global Business Development team. The successful candidate will have over 7 years of experience in proposal writing and will work closely with the Executive Team to drive business development. Responsibilities include managing proposal content, collaborating with various departments, and maintaining a library of marketing materials. A degree in Business Administration or related fields is required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.

The Proposal Manager reports to the Global Business Development Manager and collaborates with Partners, the VP of Finance and Operations, US Managing Director, Design Directors, and others to fulfill their duties.

  • Writing proposals and coordinating content to respond to RFPs effectively.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Team to develop and implement Business Development strategies for new and existing clients.
  • Setting and tracking annual goals for business development growth.
  • Managing company-wide business development activities, including pipeline coordination and CRM maintenance.
  • Developing RFPs, vetting leads, gathering project scopes, coordinating client calls, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Supporting transition from proposals to projects, including contract negotiations and compliance.
  • Maintaining a library of proposals, pitches, case studies, and marketing materials.
  • Developing processes and timelines for Business Development collateral and collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Coordinating with Marketing and Creative Services for branding and proposal materials.
  • Participating in client meetings.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in proposal writing, business development, marketing, ideally within Design / Architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Interest in hotel and hospitality interior design and brand identity.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated.
  • Proven team player supporting creative teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
