Job summary

CLV Group is seeking a Property Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations of multiple residential properties. You will ensure safety, maintenance, and efficient operation while coordinating with managers and vendors.

You will inspect properties, manage staff and contractors, and ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations. Strong organization and bilingual English/French skills are assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in property operations or facilities management.
• Experience with residential construction and building repairs.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Experience supervising employees and managing contractors.
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Knowledge of Yardi is an asset.
• Bilingual English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily property operations, maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall building condition.
• Conducting regular inspections to identify deficiencies and required repairs.
• Coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs to building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators, fire protection, and security.
• Managing in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors.
• Coordinating contractors and vendors for repairs, inspections and capital projects.
• Working with Property Managers to address operational and resident concerns.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Reviewing quotations, invoices, and project costs while supporting budgets.
• Responding to building emergencies and coordinating resources as needed.
• Performing other duties as requested.

Job description

The Property Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of multiple residential properties owned and/or managed by CLV Group, ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, and operated efficiently.

Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:

• Overseeing daily property operations, maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall building condition;
• Conducting regular inspections to identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and required repairs;
• Coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs to building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators, fire protection, and security systems;
• Managing and supervising work performed by in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors;
• Coordinating contractors and vendors for repairs, inspections, maintenance, and building improvement projects;
• Working closely with Property Managers to address operational and resident concerns;
• Ensuring properties comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and health and safety requirements;
• Reviewing quotations, invoices, and project costs while supporting operating and capital budgets;
• Responding to building emergencies and coordinating appropriate resources when required; and
• Performing all other duties as requested.

Must Haves

• 3+ years of experience in property operations, facilities management, residential property management, or a similar role;
• Experience with general residential construction and building repairs;
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and mechanical systems;
• Experience supervising employees and managing contractors;
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple properties, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency with MS Office;
• Knowledge of Yardi property management software is considered an asset;
• Familiarity with applicable residential tenancy legislation is considered an asset; and
• English and French communication skills are considered a strong asset.

More Information

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle,
• Must be able to travel between properties as required;
• Must be available to respond to emergencies during normal operating hours; and
• Participation in an after-hours rotational emergency response team may be required
