We’re dedicated to creating a workplace where every employee feels welcomed, valued and respected.Making a Difference : Find purpose in your career by aligning with an organization that shares your values and is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve.The Opportunity: Property Telephone Claims Representative - IIAs a Property Telephone Claims Representative - II, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our policyholders, brokers and claims partners by:Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving moderate-complexity property claims.Analyzing policy coverage and communicating claim decisions clearly and professionally.Managing claims from initial reporting through final settlement while maintaining exceptional customer service.Collaborating with policyholders, brokers, vendors, and experts to achieve timely claim resolution.Identifying underwriting concerns, emerging risks, and recovery opportunities to support business objectives.We're looking for a customer-focused team player with strong property insurance knowledge, investigative expertise, and sound decision-making skills who embodies our company values and is committed to providing top-notch service.What You’ll Do:Investigate property claims using remote investigation techniques, including securing statements, photographs, reports, and other evidence.Analyze policy wording and determine coverage eligibility while communicating decisions to policyholders and brokers.Evaluate liability, identify subrogation and salvage opportunities, and engage external experts when required.Assess damages, establish reserves, negotiate settlements, and resolve claims within authority limits.Maintain accurate claim files and documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company best practices.Coordinate and communicate regularly with policyholders, brokers, vendors, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.Manage a diverse portfolio of claims while maintaining service, quality, and productivity standards.Contribute to ongoing process improvements and provide technical guidance to team members as required.What You’ll Bring:Minimum 4-5 years of claims handling experience, preferably in property insurance.Strong knowledge of claims investigation, coverage analysis, negotiation, settlement practices, and policy interpretation.Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex claim files and make sound decisions with limited supervision.Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.Guidewire experience is considered an asset.High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, insurance, or a related field is preferred.CIP designation or willingness to work toward completion of the designation is required.This role requires a hybrid work arrangement and is not intended to be fully remote.
