The Opportunity

Located in Calgary, the Property Administrator is responsible for providing support for the day-to-day administrative activities for an industrial portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Support all aspects of day-to-day accounting and administrative activities for the portfolio.
  • Manage rent collection, cheque posting, and application of payments to tenant accounts.
  • Liaise with tenants and accounting regarding accounts receivable matters.
  • Report weekly on the status of accounts receivable.
  • Review monthly recurring billings.
  • Process all invoices and related reports within Yardi as assigned, including matching, coding, and verifying batches for regional accounting.
  • Prepare and distribute tenant requisitions for chargebacks.
  • Type and distribute correspondence to tenants and maintain tenant database.
  • Assist with preparing the annual budget for assigned buildings.
  • Prepare Rental Letters.
  • Monitor and track utility accounts for vacant units, ensuring all are on PAP.
  • Review leases to ensure accurate information is maintained.
  • Review Lease Review Checklists and reports (LRCs).
  • Maintain and update security deposit reports and tenant information.
  • Ensure tenants provide current insurance certificates in compliance with leases.
  • Complete all administrative functions related to property management as specified.
  • Liaise with tenants and contractors as required.
  • Support BGO's culture of environmental and social responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of high-level administrative experience with strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in real estate operations is an asset.
  • High school diploma with post-secondary courses in accounting and computers preferred.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Effective communicator, professional in tone, capable of developing cooperative relationships.
  • Organized, able to handle multiple demands, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi is an asset.
  • Police clearance required.
