Job summary

Shindico Realty Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a Property Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a real estate asset portfolio spanning residential, retail, and office properties.

You will prepare budgets, financial reports, and variance analyses; oversee rental billings, tenant recoveries, and lease adjustments; lead projects and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely government remittances and ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting designation in process considered an asset.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with above-average problem-solving skills.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with independence in responsibilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Real estate experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Property Accountant

Working within a team of property accountants, you will be responsible for the overall accounting functions for a real estate asset portfolio consisting of residential, retail, or office properties.

Main responsibilities include the following:

• Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties including annual budgets, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and operational reports
• Budget review and analysis on property financial performance
• Manage rental billings, tenant recoveries, and adjustments in accordance with lease agreements
• Team lead on various projects
