Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Promotions Associate to plan and build in-store displays, maintain shelves, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role involves setting up promotional layouts, stocking products, and ensuring displays are visually appealing and accurate. Training is provided, with flexible hours and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented tasks completed as per instructions.
• Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift/carry items, using a ladder.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Customer-oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Place and price promotional items in feature areas.
• Execute merchandise layout changes (setup, maintenance, removal).
• Stock shelves and maintain display areas neatly and safely.
• Maintain feature ends, side panels, and platform displays and replenish as needed.
• Remove stock from other locations and replace damaged/expired items when necessary.
• Ensure retail tasks are performed efficiently (stocking, labeling, cleaning).
• Maintain inventory accuracy and report low stock levels.
• Ensure correct product placement and handle overstock properly.
• Report stolen/damaged goods to Management and assist in audits.

The Promotions Associate is responsible for planning and building displays throughout the store that are visually appealing and maximize impact on a day-to-day basis. This role involves store maintenance such as hole checks, stocking shelves, merchandising and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the promotional items are placed and priced appropriately in the feature areas.
• Execute merchandise layout changes (set-up, maintenance, and removal of displays, signage, etc.).
• Stock shelves and merchandise display areas neatly and safely.
• Maintain the feature ends, side panels, and platform displays by replenishing as required.
• Remove stock belonging to a different location and replaces damaged or expired items when necessary.
• Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.).
• Ensure inventory accuracy, and identify and report low stock levels.
• Ensure that product and overstock is placed in the appropriate locations.
• Report stolen and damaged goods to Management.
• Assist in meeting store audit performance requirements.
• Complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• No experience is required!!! – We will provide all the training you need!
• Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks according to instructions
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Result-oriented and customer-oriented
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
