Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly, courteous service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role covers stocking, merchandising and housekeeping, with opportunities for training and career development.

You will greet customers, upsell related products and help maintain inventory accuracy while complying with safety regulations. We welcome applicants with no prior experience and offer training, flexible hours, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends and holidays).
• Able to handle physical demands including standing/walking for long periods.

• Ensure retail tasks are done efficiently (stocking, labels, facing, cleanliness).
• Perform hole checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner, over the phone and in person.
• Recommend related products to customers so they leave with everything they need.
• Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.).
• Perform hole checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• No experience is required!!! – We will provide all the training you need!
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Approachable
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate a cash register (asset)
