Job summary

SSFinc on Seneca’s campus seeks a proactive Promotions Assistant to support outreach, events, and student engagement across the Seneca community. You will promote SSF services, coordinate with campus teams, and help run campaigns to raise awareness of SSF initiatives.

The role requires energetic individuals who can communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and work well in a team environment. This on-site position targets Ontario students enrolled in full-time programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Seneca Polytechnic program.
  • Must reside in Ontario, Canada.
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number.
  • Must have a Canadian bank account.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, develop, and implement creative ideas to promote SSF initiatives and events.
  • Engage with the campus community to encourage student involvement.
  • Promote SSF events through digital and in-person channels, and support marketing efforts.
  • Create event materials and assist with reporting and post-event analysis.
  • Coordinate with managers, marketing teams, and student leaders for cohesive promotions.
  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders and participate in cross-campus collaborations.

Under the direction of the Manager, Campus Operations, the Promotions Assistant is responsible for supporting all SSF initiatives through creative outreach, promotional activities, and student engagement strategies on Campus. The role requires an energetic, organized, and student-focused individual who can communicate effectively and promote SSF events, services, and resources across the Seneca community.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Promotions & Engagement

  • Brainstorm, develop, and implement creative ideas to increase awareness of SSF initiatives, events,and services.
  • Encourage student involvement by actively engaging with the campus community.
  • Carry out promotional activities in a timely, organized, and effective manner.

Event Support & Reporting

  • Create Event Charters and Post-Mortem forms for all events in collaboration with the LBC.
  • Assist in promoting SSF events, programs, and campaigns through digital and in-person channels.
  • Support marketing and advertising efforts as directed.
  • Promote SSF initiatives within the Seneca community through class visits, outreach booths, andinteractive activities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and partners to ensure event visibility and awareness.
  • Administer monthly polls and student surveys related to SSF services, events, and promotions, andassist in analyzing results.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Campus Operations, Marketing Team, and Student Leaders toensure cohesive promotional efforts.
  • Support cross-campus promotional collaborations when needed.
  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Comfortable speaking to large groups and individuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
