Responsibilities

  • Assist with initiation, management, reporting, closure and governance of multiple projects.
  • Support creation and updating of project Charters and plans.
  • Gather monthly project updates from stakeholders and compile progress reports.
  • Coordinate meetings and provide administrative support for project workstreams.
  • Foster cross‑functional collaboration across Marketing, Brands, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling PowerPoint decks and clear email communications.
  • Assist PMs with team onboarding and running Teams groups for progress tracking.

Winter 2027 Work Term

Term Length: 4 months

Term Start: January 6, 2027

Term End: April 16, 2027

The pay range for the co‑op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.

Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

You’ll be joining the Marketing and Brands Project Management team, within the Marketing and Brands Enablement group, whose mission is to drive the on‑time delivery of Marketing and Brands strategic projects.

In this role, in collaboration with the Manager and Senior Manager of Projects, you will gain ground‑level project management experience as you support the initiation, management, reporting, closure and governance of multiple innovative and exciting 2025 Marketing and Brands projects. You will get exposure to the fundamental principles of project management, an understanding of Marketing teams at Loblaws and valuable time with cross functional business leads across the organization.

We are looking for a candidate that is extremely organized, who enjoys building a plan to get things done and who is interested in gaining practical and technical project management experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Help drive the delivery of strategic projects and support with project co‑ordination, including but not limited to:
  • 2025 Project Charter builds
  • Gathering monthly project reporting from stakeholders
  • Project scheduling, workbacks, project plans and Gantt charts
  • Manage deliverables and milestones
  • Attend, coordinate and provide various admin support for project meetings
  • Manage cross‑functional relationships across our Marketing, Brands and project stakeholder teams.
  • Support with building compelling PowerPoint decks and email communications.
  • Provide support to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager as needed.
  • Integrate into Teams Groups and online communication channels in order to facilitate project progress.
What You’ll Need
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree or a certified Project Management program or one with a project management component.
  • Ability to easily build relationships and credibility while being a part of a cross functional team focused on project delivery.
  • Possess a structured problem‑solving approach and very strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize and track both their to‑dos and project deliverables on‑time and in parallel.
  • Strong competency in presentation development (PowerPoint), project planning (Excel, PM software) and communication tools (Teams, Outlook)
  • The ability to synthesize information, identify risks, determine next steps and communicate in a clear and succinct way.
  • Ability to stay on top of changing priorities, direction pivots and multiple deliverables at any time while shifting gears across different projects.
