ERG Project Specialist Job Description

ERG is a research and consulting firm supporting federal, state, and commercial clients. We offer multidisciplinary teams with expertise in engineering, science, economics, public health, IT, and communications. We seek highly motivated individuals with strong skills in prioritization, performance, and effective communication in fast-paced environments.

Position: Project Specialist

This full-time role is based at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, working closely with program managers, technical staff, and government clients. The position involves interaction with ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's offices in Indian Head and Fairfax, VA. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement and contract needs.
  2. Monitor and track invoices for accuracy and timely payments.
  3. Maintain reports and dashboards.
  4. Prepare weekly financial reports and monthly invoices.
  5. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain organized contract files and tracking spreadsheets.
  7. Develop and manage project planning tools, including action item spreadsheets, calendars, and flow charts.
  8. Support data entry tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BBA, or BS)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (transcripts required if less than 4 years of experience)
  • 0 to 10 years of experience
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn new software and technical skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management
  • Experience with MS Power Platforms is a plus
