Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Engineer/Project Manager for our offices in Hamilton, London, or Waterloo, Ontario. Our team provides consulting for Class Environmental Assessment, Preliminary Design, and Detail Design projects for public sector clients, including the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and other Ontario regions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with MTO and municipal transportation design projects across Ontario.
• Manage project budgets, resources, change orders, and client invoicing.
• Develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and engage in business development and client liaison.
• Collaborate with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers on staffing, equipment, and training needs.
• Support the Stantec Quality Management System and promote environmental health & safety programs.
• Ensure project functions meet standards.
• Develop and present progress reports, proposals, and documentation.
• Foster a culture of quality design and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario with over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Experience in project management for MTO and Ontario municipal road projects.
• Experience with SW Ontario public sector projects is a plus.
• Proven report and proposal writing skills.
• Roadway design experience.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in road design and construction.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) designation required.
• Minimum of 10 years of roadway project management experience.
