Job description

Forbes Bros Ltd. is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager (full-time, permanent) to join our team on a transmission line project based out of St. Clair, ON.

The Project Manager will be responsible for providing overall guidance and management to one or more construction projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements. Additionally, the Project Manager will oversee safety, quality, schedule, and cost for all assigned projects, providing leadership and guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience in Industrial or Powerline construction, with a strong understanding of project management processes, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety in all activities, embodying Forbes Bros.' value of WE WORK SAFE
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
• Manage submittals, technical approvals, and vendor documents
• Track and document quality issues, supporting quality procedures
• Develop and update project schedules, including recovery plans
• Prepare budgets, monitor costs, and forecast financial performance
• Coordinate resources efficiently to meet project needs
• Assist estimating team with project documentation and plans
• Understand and communicate contract requirements
• Engage with clients regarding scope changes and change orders
• Supervise installation crews and support staff
• Manage materials and subcontractors from pre-qualification to performance management
• Oversee project management and reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in linear construction, electrical transmission, pipeline, or industrial construction
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or related engineering discipline preferred
• Knowledge of construction processes, project setup, subcontract and change order management
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations
• Valid driver’s license and a clean 5-year driving record
