Job summary

Partner Company in Canada is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Strategy & Impact Business Enablement to lead strategic initiatives and enable business outcomes. You will oversee initiatives across the full delivery lifecycle, collaborate with senior leaders and external partners, and translate complex needs into actionable plans.

You will engage in governance, risk management, and executive decision-making while applying Agile and hybrid methodologies to improve processes and project

Qualifications

  • Five to eight years of overall business experience, including 3–4 years leading projects or transformation initiatives.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline is preferred.
  • A recognized project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Strong expertise in full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping.
  • Experience with Agile, hybrid, and traditional PM methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects and business enablement initiatives across the full project lifecycle.
  • Define objectives, scope, success measures, schedules, governance, and delivery plans.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to establish clear business needs and scope.
  • Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and priorities; provide escalation options.

  • Prepare executive updates, risk assessments, and decision-support materials.
  • Support Agile and hybrid delivery through backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across communications, marketing, and partnerships.
  • Strengthen governance and stakeholder engagement to improve PM maturity.
  • Coach stakeholders on effective delivery, governance, and collaboration.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager – Strategy & Impact Business Enablement based in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead strategic initiatives and business enablement projects that drive organizational impact. You’ll oversee projects across the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business priorities, clear objectives, and measurable outcomes. Working closely with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, external partners, and subject matter experts, you’ll translate complex business needs into actionable plans. You’ll play a key role in stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management, and executive decision‑making. The role combines structured project delivery with Agile and hybrid methodologies, offering opportunities to improve processes and strengthen project management practices. Accountabilities
  • Lead strategic projects, programs, and business enablement initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, implementation, and close‑out.

  • Define project objectives, scope, success measures, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, schedules, governance structures, and delivery plans.

  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements‑gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and solution‑definition discussions to establish clear business needs and scope boundaries.

  • Monitor and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, change requests, and competing priorities, providing recommendations and escalation options to sponsors and governance bodies.

  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, senior leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders to align deliverables, approvals, communications, and project activities.

  • Prepare and present executive‑level project updates, status reports, risk assessments, options analyses, recommendations, and decision‑making materials.

  • Support Agile and hybrid delivery approaches through backlog management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams that may include communications, marketing, digital, content, events, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strengthen project delivery practices, governance processes, requirements‑gathering methods, and stakeholder engagement approaches to improve organizational project management maturity.

  • Coach stakeholders and teams on effective project delivery, governance, and collaboration practices.

Requirements
  • Five to eight years of overall business experience, including at least three to four years leading projects, programs, organizational change initiatives, or business transformation activities.

  • Post‑secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related discipline is preferred.

  • A recognized project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or an equivalent qualification.

  • Strong expertise in project planning, execution, monitoring, delivery, and close‑out across the full project lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, scope definition, stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, and process mapping.

  • Proven ability to manage project scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, facilitating, and consensus‑building skills, including the ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.

  • Experience with Agile, hybrid, and traditional project management methodologies, including backlog management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Strong understanding of project governance, executive decision support, organizational change, and business transformation.

  • Experience coordinating vendors, consultants, external partners, and diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, reporting, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management, scheduling, reporting, collaboration, and backlog management tools.

  • The ability to guide stakeholders and teams toward consistent, effective project delivery practices in a dynamic environment.
