Job Opportunity: Project Manager, Nurse Call

Take on the challenge of managing complex, multi-million dollar projects and make your mark at Plan Group! This position is based in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing projects from award to completion, including schedules, change orders, and close-out documents.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution while maintaining design integrity and schedule.
• Performing risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Working with management on project feasibility and budgeting.
• Providing project updates, forecasts, and supporting cost control and efficiency programs.
• Managing relationships with project partners and clients, ensuring compliance within budget.
• Overseeing project resources, including employees and subcontractors.
• Communicating technical aspects and site activities to relevant stakeholders.
• Reviewing design implementation with consulting engineers.
• Coordinating the delivery of specialized building systems like nurse call, ensuring compliance and timeline alignment.
• Adhering to safety requirements and guidelines.
• Tracking and reporting project performance, escalating issues as needed.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in construction, with knowledge of field concepts and procedures.
• Strong understanding of technology and systems integration.
• Experience with building systems such as nurse call, IT, and cabling is a plus.
• Post-secondary education; engineering degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Estimating software and scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera is desirable.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
