PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Practice Management
  • Customize program elements to meet the needs of assigned prescribing physicians;
  • Review patient status and assist the prescribing physician to complete patient enrolment, prepare payer forms to access coverage, and review patient charts, documenting therapies and tests;
  • Identify obstacles to coverage and communicate them to the Program Manager;
  • Develop strong relationships with physicians and their staff, providing support for patient program maintenance;
  • Proactively resolve issues with assigned physicians;
  • Train physicians and clinics on programs and new initiatives;
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Program Manager based on field observations and physician feedback;
  • Complete all relevant reports within specified timelines and standards.
Patient Support (may vary based on program design)
  • Welcome patients and capture required information;
  • Provide reimbursement guidelines to patients and physicians;
  • Coordinate and track patient services to expedite therapy access;
  • Coordinate coverage activities between patients, physicians, and insurers;
  • Confirm reimbursement outcomes with patients;
  • Navigate patients through financial assistance options;
  • Assist with pharmacy selection and drug delivery coordination;
  • Support ongoing therapy management;
  • Refer clinical questions to healthcare providers;
  • Report adverse events following SOPs;
  • Assist in training new team members;
  • Maintain positive relationships within the team;
  • Provide timely information to patients and clinics;
  • Participate in physician meetings and CME events;
  • Deliver in-service presentations with pharmaceutical representatives.
Other
  • Maintain communication with relevant stakeholders;
  • Complete reports and administrative tasks as required;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;
  • May be on standby/on call as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related discipline, or nurse diploma;
  • Minimum five (5) years in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry, or related experience;
  • Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) with active registration;
  • Case management experience preferred; minimum three (3) years nursing in a clinical setting;
  • Ability to travel within territory, some overnight travel may be required;
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
  • Experience in therapeutic areas, business administration, or reimbursement systems is an asset;
  • Knowledge of reimbursement processes, legislation, and regulations;
  • Fluency in French and/or English depending on location.
