Job Opportunity: Project Manager, Nurse Call

This opportunity is located in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively carry out Plan Group’s project management procedures from initial award of job to conclusion (Project schedule, change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents, etc.).
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure project implementation is executed in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining integrity of design and project schedule.
  • Perform risk management throughout the project life cycle to minimize both known and unforeseen project risks and their negative impacts.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure feasibility and costing of projects according to budget.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control, and Plan Group’s T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
  • Manage relationships with all project partners and the client to bring forward innovative solutions that achieve compliance within the project budget.
  • Manage project delivery resources including employees and subcontractors.
  • Frequently communicate the technical aspects and regular site activities of the project with relevant stakeholders to effectively update and act on pertinent information.
  • Interface with consulting engineers to review and provide recommendations regarding implementation of the design and reports.
  • Coordinate the integration and delivery of specialized building systems such as nurse call, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and alignment with overall project timelines.
  • Adhere to and carry out all safety requirements by the client, as well as follow all of Plan Group's safety guidelines.
  • Track project performance and report status, escalating as required.
Our ideal candidate has:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related Project Management experience within the construction industry and familiarity with a variety of construction field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of technology and systems integration.
  • Experience with building systems such as nurse call, information technology, and structured cabling is considered an asset.
  • Related post-secondary education; university degree in engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of Accubid software and/or Estimating experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project and/or Primavera) preferred.
  • Holding or working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
