Job summary

Avondale Construction Group is seeking a Project Manager for our New Brunswick office. You will lead a collaborative team of construction professionals to execute projects from idea to completion with a client-centric approach.

You will drive scheduling, budgeting, and problem-solving to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding our Quality Program and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve goals.
• Develop and drive the construction schedule with the project team to meet milestones.

• Ensure compliance with the Quality Program.
• Manage project budgets, costs, and purchasing.
• Mentor project team members and share knowledge.

Success is in the details and the core of what you do. As a Project Manager, you are a scheduling guru keeping project goals, execution, people, and communication always top of mind. As a key member of our team, we will rethink construction together, from idea to completion.

Essential Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision
• Develop and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team ensuring that completion dates and milestones are met
• Put your problem-solving skills to work and recommend innovative methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiency to ensure project excellence and productivity
• Use your proactive approach to ensure compliance with our first-class Quality Program
• Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing
• Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members
• Take pride in compiling and completing company wide project reports
• Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.

Qualifications

• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience
• A proven track record of project success and team collaboration
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues to bring the project to successful completion
• Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies
• A passion to develop, maintain and execute the project schedule
• Good computer skills and previous experience with scheduling software
• Knowledge of the local market
