CIMA+’s Transportation team has built a reputation for excellence in the transportation sector across Ontario. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Mobility Design team in Burlington or Mississauga, leading, planning, and tendering municipal and transportation infrastructure projects with a dynamic team.

You will collaborate with design professionals, manage client relations, and guide projects from concept to completion while delivering high-quality outcomes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• P.Eng. license from PEO.
• PTOE or Road Safety credential is an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects.
• Strong experience in transportation design, including roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, and active transportation.
• Proficiency in design software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects on local roads for municipal clients across Ontario, including schedules, budgets, cost control, and quality procedures.
• Design and contract preparation for urban/rural road projects and environmental assessments.
• Supervise design of projects, guiding staff, client liaison, and resolving engineering challenges.
• Liaise with government and regulatory authorities to guide permit approvals.
• Maintain relationships and pursue new business opportunities.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Mobility Design team in our Burlington or Mississauga, ON offices. Working closely with the Design Team, you will have the opportunity to use your technical and project management abilities to lead, plan, design and tender various municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in a dynamic team setting.

Our hybrid work model can accommodate flexible work hours; the position can be based out of our Burlington office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage transportation projects on local, collector or arterial roads for various municipal clients throughout Ontario, including schedules, budgets, cost control processes, quality control and work procedures
• Concept, Preliminary and Detail Design and contract preparation for urban/rural road construction and reconstruction projects, including local and regional roads, environmental assessments, intersections, traffic calming, active transportation etc.
• Supervision of the design of specific projects, including guidance of technical staff, client liaison, technical reviews of documents and design, preparation of project specifications, and resolving various engineering challenges
• Liaise with government and regulatory/environmental authorities to guide projects through permit approval processes
• Maintain existing business relationships and coordinate business development activities including identifying and pursuing potential marketing and new client opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
• Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) or Road Safety Professional (RSP) is an asset
• Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects.
• Strong experience in transportation design, including roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, and active transportation facilities.
• Proficiency in using design software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with team members, clients, and agencies.
