CIMA+’s Transportation team has built a strong reputation for excellence in delivering municipal and transportation projects across Ontario. Our engineers lead planning, design, inspection, and construction management with a holistic approach to sustainability and safety for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Mobility Design team in Burlington or Mississauga, using your technical and project management skills to lead, plan, design and tender

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • PTOE or RSP certification an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects.
  • Experience with transportation design: roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, active transportation.
  • Proficiency with Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads or OpenRoads.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with team, clients, and agencies.
  • Integrity, team spirit, and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation projects on local, collector or arterial roads for municipal clients across Ontario, including schedules, budgets, cost control processes, quality control and work procedures.
  • Concept, Preliminary and Detail Design and contract preparation for urban/rural road construction and reconstruction projects, including local and regional roads, environmental assessments, intersections, traffic calming, active transportation etc.
  • Supervision of the design of specific projects, including guidance of technical staff, client liaison, technical reviews of documents and design, preparation of project specifications, and resolving various engineering challenges
  • Liaise with government and regulatory/environmental authorities to guide projects through permit approval processes
  • Maintain existing business relationships and coordinate business development activities including identifying and pursuing potential marketing and new client opportunities.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Mobility Design team in our Burlington or Mississauga, ON offices. Working closely with the Design Team, you will have the opportunity to use your technical and project management abilities to lead, plan, design and tender various municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in a dynamic team setting.

Our hybrid work model can accommodate flexible work hours; the position can be based out of our Burlington office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) or Road Safety Professional (RSP) is an asset
  • Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects.
  • Strong experience in transportation design, including roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, and active transportation facilities.
  • Proficiency in using design software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with team members, clients, and agencies.
