Job summary

J.L. Richards & Associates Limited invites applications for a Project Manager to join our Ottawa, Guelph, or London offices.

You will lead industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects from concept to close‑out, balancing scope, schedule, and profitability while coordinating with clients and engineers. You will mentor project teams, develop plans, and drive business development through proposals and client engagements.

Qualifications

  • 10 years+ experience leading high-performing teams in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to translate complex projects into clear plans for clients, contractors, and engineers.
  • Strong focus on scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects from concept development through design, construction, commissioning, and close‑out.
  • Develop and execute project plans that align scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and overall project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while serving as trusted advisor and primary contact during delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and financial performance to achieve profitability targets.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders for seamless communication and execution.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize integrated engineering, procurement, and construction schedules while mitigating risks.
  • Support tendering, contractor selection, construction administration, site activities, and field issue resolution.
  • Mentor and develop project managers and coordinators while contributing to business development and client presentations.

  • Mentoring and developing project managers and coordinators while contributing to business development, proposals, client presentations, and project management best practices.
