Job description

Our client is a recognized leader in delivering digital and geospatial solutions across various industries. As they continue to grow, they’re looking to add a driven and skilled Project Manager to oversee strategic GIS and data integration initiatives. This is a high-impact role centered on delivering technical implementations that drive innovation, improve efficiency, and create real value for clients.

Your Mission

You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of complex technology implementation projects in GIS and CAD. From early-stage planning to client delivery, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure that every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to spec.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with internal GIS / data specialists and client stakeholders to understand needs, define project scope, and contribute to the preparation of proposals and technical work plans.
  • Translate business goals into structured project deliverables, aligning resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead planning sessions, set up workflows, assign responsibilities, and drive progress across all project phases.
  • Use tools like SmartSheet, MS Project, or Salesforce to monitor tasks, track resource utilization, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage multiple workstreams, balancing internal capacity with external resources or contractors as needed.
  • Monitor project health with real-time metrics : budget usage, timelines, deliverables, and risk indicators.
  • Conduct financial oversight of projects, ensuring accurate time tracking, billing, and forecast reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors or service partners, defining scopes, deliverables, and expectations for each third-party contributor.
  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with stakeholders through regular meetings, documentation, and performance updates.
  • Contribute to post-project success by helping to collect client feedback, prepare case studies, and participate in relevant marketing initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience managing technology or data-centric projects, ideally in sectors such as public infrastructure, utilities, or enterprise IT.
  • Experience with GIS platforms (such as ArcGIS), data pipelines (like FME or similar ETL tools), or digital transformation initiatives.
  • PMP certification or similar project management training (a strong asset).
  • Strong command of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., SmartSheet, Salesforce, MS Project, MS Teams).
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English—able to engage technical teams and executive stakeholders alike.
  • A structured, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of CAD or document management systems is considered a bonus.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally within North America (5-10 days a year).
