Project Manager – Electrical Design Engineer

Groupe SM Tardif, an innovative company that has been active in the construction industry for more than 45 years, is looking for a Project Manager – Electrical Design Engineer for its subsidiary Pagui, which specializes in electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications services.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the design, planning, and overall management of electrical projects, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality, health, and safety standards.

You will also play a key role in the design process by developing high-performance technical solutions tailored to the needs of clients and team members.

Profile sought

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related field), or equivalent qualifications.
• Relevant experience in project management and/or engineering design.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and priority management skills.

Roles and responsabilities

Project Management

• Plan, organize, and monitor projects, including human, material, and financial resources.
• Coordinate the various stakeholders involved, including site teams, professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure schedules, budgets, and profitability objectives are achieved.
• Manage change orders, claims, and contractual matters.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and clients.
• Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Design and Engineering

• Develop technical concepts and carry out predesign activities.
• Prepare performance specifications for tender submissions.
• Perform the analyses and calculations required for design work.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Advise clients on identifying the most effective solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project outcomes.
