Job Description

Position Overview

The Project Manager - Distribution Operations reports to the Vice-President of Operations. The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects involving various departments worldwide, such as Distribution Centers, Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Value Added services. Additionally, the Project Manager acts as a business analyst to initiate, justify, review, and recommend alternatives to meet company needs effectively. The role requires collaboration across all areas and regions for ad hoc projects and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare business analyses for projects, including meeting minutes, reports, and supporting documents for approval and implementation.
  2. Review and improve process flows and optimize operational projects to meet regulatory and improvement needs.
  3. Create project plans, solicit bids, collaborate with suppliers, develop bid matrices, and recommend final bids to the operational team for approval and implementation.
  4. Assist the Operations team in resolving daily issues and ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts, Business, or Engineering.
  • Project Management certification.
  • 2 to 5+ years of specific project experience.
  • Or 2 to 5+ years of distribution-related experience.
  • Or 2 to 5+ years of analyst-related and operational experience.
  • Ability to support internal customers and their operational needs.
  • Knowledge of systems and information technology relevant to business operations.
  • Experience with corporate environments, strategic or business processes, and operations related to supply chain, distribution centers, and logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating integrity, dependability, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize issues, escalate when necessary, and seek constructive solutions.
