Job Description

Responsible for managing the entire Solutions Deployment (SD) scope on a given CBTC Signaling Project. Responsible for all the technical aspects of the Project that are deployment related, as well as planning, budgeting, and scheduling issues related to Deployment. The Deployment Project Manager (DPM) works closely with the Project Manager (PM) and Solution Engineering Manager (SEM) to plan and deliver the Project scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full SD scope on the project.
• Organize SD work logic with team leaders, SMO, and project team.
• Align SD planning inputs from team leaders with project requirements.
• Define project work and priorities with team leaders.
• Maintain good working relationships and team building.
• Coordinate with procurement to expedite processes and reduce risks.
• Conduct deployment reviews with teams and clients.
• Ensure proper analysis of costs and schedules.
• Approve site testing and acceptance activities.
• Collaborate on creating the deployment management plan.
• Identify and manage SD project risks.
• Provide regular reports to senior management.
• Ensure infrastructure design compliance with contracts and project strategies.
• Identify and resolve SD risks early.
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication.
• Define SD work scope and create an integrated team environment.

Key Requirements

• University degree in engineering or sciences.
• Over 10 years of experience in CBTC signaling projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools (MS Suite, Visio, DOORS, JIRA, SAP).
• Knowledge of international relations and negotiation.
• Experience in P&L management and people management.
• Technical knowledge in system engineering and safety hardware/software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed with Professional Engineers of Ontario.
