Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects with cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the migration of Windows-based environments (Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server) to AWS or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts, particularly AWS services, migration tooling, networking, and hybrid cloud operations.
  • Experience with program-level governance, resource planning, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) tracking.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical engineers, senior leadership, and business users.
  • Solid knowledge of change management, cutover planning, and operational readiness best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or SAFe certification.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS-specific project experience.
  • Experience managing vendor teams, system integrators, or outsourced infrastructure providers.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, CMDB management, and enterprise service delivery models.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services, government) with awareness of compliance frameworks.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle of a major data center migration initiative.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource assignments, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate technical engineering teams, application owners, architects, engineers, and security leads to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, provide executive reporting, and drive issue resolution across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Track dependencies, risks, and blockers; escalate as appropriate and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Support the creation of migration runbooks, cutover schedules, and post-migration validation activities.
  • Ensure all workstreams are meeting quality, performance, and compliance expectations as systems move to AWS.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and act as a liaison between business units and technical implementation teams.
