As a Project Manager, Commercial Electrical Construction, you will:

• Establish and achieve project targets and milestones to deliver electrical projects on time and within budget.
• Promote and lead health and safety initiatives.
• Monitor work progress, provide status updates, forecasts, and control costs in line with Plan Group’s T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Identify potential problems or schedule delays proactively and alert management.
• Ensure accurate project forecasting through follow-up.
• Analyze critical path activities and advise the project team accordingly.
• Manage short interval planning.
• Lead pre-job planning, including estimate turnover, kickoff meetings, subcontractor selection, material handling strategies, and risk management.
• Coordinate with site supervision on labor progress and address roadblocks.
• Manage project documentation, change orders, equipment and material deliveries, site meetings, and progress reports.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to project team members.
• Build strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and engineers to contribute to project success.

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering post-secondary education or related field; minimum five years of construction project management experience; trade experience is a plus.
• Experience managing electrical commercial and institutional projects.
• Knowledge of estimating software such as Accubid Change Order, Enterprise Change Order, or similar; estimating experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; scheduling software experience (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) preferred.
• Working towards or possessing a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
• Ability to analyze architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings and experience in commercial projects.
