Job summary

Pack-Smart Inc. in Concord, Ontario, is seeking a Project Manager to lead high-speed automation projects from initiation to delivery. You will coordinate between customers and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget results and clear communication of expectations.

The role requires 5+ years in automation project management, a mechanical/electro-mechanical background, and strong English communication. International travel may be required, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in automation, packaging equipment, or custom machine-building.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute project deadlines, contractual requirements, scope of work, and equipment delivery.
• Lead FAT by executing test plans, securing sign-off, and generating FAT reports.
• Drive critical success factors with stakeholders to deliver on time, on budget, within scope, time, and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and service to manage milestones.
• Identify issues and escalate or implement corrective actions.
• Communicate project progress clearly to stakeholders.

Job Title: Project Manager – Lead and Deliver World Class Automation Projects

We’re looking for a driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of automation projects from start to finish. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our customers and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations. Leveraging your organizational and leadership skills, you’ll manage scope, schedule, and resources while fostering collaboration across departments. Some international travel is required, meeting with industry leaders!

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 CAD

• Manage and execute project deadlines, contractual requirements, scope of work, and equipment delivery.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) by executing test plans, managing customer expectations, securing sign-off, and generating FAT reports.
• Drive critical success factors with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within agreed scope, time, and quality.
• Manage and reconcile project capacity and milestones through close collaboration with engineering, production, and service departments.
• Identify issues that may impede progress and implement corrective actions or escal**ate** as needed.
• Communicate project progress clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience in automation, packaging equipment, or custom machine building environments.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects while effectively prioritizing tasks.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proven track record of improving performance, meeting commitments, and achieving results.
• Ability to travel internationally when required.
