Job summary

A leading company in transportation equipment manufacturing is seeking four Project Managers to lead crucial design and construction projects at train stations and maintenance facilities. Candidates should possess a relevant engineering diploma, substantial project management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in planning, design, and construction of transit or maintenance facilities.
  • PMP, CET, or P.Eng. is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and construction codes.

Base pay range

CA$40.00/hr - CA$50.00/hr

Our client is looking for four (4) Project Managers to lead State-of-Good-Repair (SOGR) design and construction projects at train stations and maintenance facilities. Projects range from $0.5M to $5M and vary in scale and complexity. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal impact to customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of assigned projects from design to construction and handover.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Manage project documentation, schedules, risks, and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure construction work meets safety requirements.
  • Oversee vendor performance and contract compliance.
  • Track and resolve customer service and safety issues during construction.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.
  • Book track access and flagging where required.
  • Support continuous improvement through lessons learned and waste reduction.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
  • PMP, CET, or P.Eng. is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in planning, design, and construction of transit or maintenance facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction codes, and project management best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
