We are the “Green For Life” team—a group of professionals dedicated to providing sustainable environmental solutions to our clients and communities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join our team in British Columbia. This role is central to our specialized environmental services division, focusing on large-scale contaminated site management, soil remediation, and complex hazardous waste disposal projects.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of environmental projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and in strict accordance with BC’s rigorous environmental and hazardous waste regulations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of environmental projects, including contaminated site excavation, soil treatment, and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including budget forecasting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert on the BC Environmental Management Act (EMA), the Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR), and the Hazardous Waste Regulation (HWR).
  • Technical Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of Soil Relocation Notifications, Site Disclosure Statements, and Summary of Site Condition forms.

  • Health & Safety: Maintain GFL’s industry-leading safety standards, ensuring all field staff and subcontractors adhere to site-specific safety plans and local protocols.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in the BC environmental industry, with specific focus on soil remediation and hazardous waste management.
