Advantage Personnel is assisting a construction client in Gatineau, QC to hire an experienced Project Manager. The role requires 5+ years of experience, bilingual ability, and a current Reliability clearance. Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project effort and ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Monitor performance against the schedule through daily site operations contact.
• Manage cost controls, manpower, deliveries, safety, and quality.
• Coordinate with project team, client reps, architect/designer, and subcontractors.
• Lead client communications and monitor performance and schedule updates.
• Review shop drawings and change orders to ensure timely completion.
• Visit sites to review safety and conditions and inspect safety boards.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and standards are met.
• Provide monthly progress updates to management; resolve schedule/budget conflicts.
• Lead negotiations of claims and disputes with owner and subs.
• Oversee project closeout and monthly financial reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly project draws and review change order pricing.
• Initiate project close-out and drive deficiency corrections.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Location: Ottawa, and Gatineau areas

We're currently hiring for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a construction client of ours located in Gatineau, QC. Our client has been growing their business since 2002 and is on the move again! You'll be working under the direction of 34+ years of building experts! We are looking for a bilingual candidate with 5+ years of experience. Within this role, you will be responsible for all project efforts, and ensuring the designs, budgets, and schedules are met accordingly. You are vital to the team, and the company's day-to-day operations/success. Candidates would require a current and valid Reliability Clearance.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall project effort
• Ensures project is built to design, budget, schedule, and quality
• Through daily contact with site operations, monitors project performance against the schedule
• Addresses cost controls, manpower issues, follows up on deliveries, enforces safety, and quality control
• Communicates and coordinates professionally and amicably with (internal) project team, client reps, architect/designer, and subcontractors
• Takes lead on all client communication (responses and updates) related to monitoring performance and schedule
• Follows up on shop drawings and change order pricing to ensure timely completion and approval
• Visits site - reviews safety, site conditions, and inspects safety board
• Ensures policies, procedures, and standards are met
• Present regular progress updates to the management team
• Diffuses conflicts in project schedule/budget and proposes corrective actions
• Leads, assists, and reconciles negotiations of claims and disputes with owner and sub trades
• Oversees project closeout to meet new 2-week standard (related to budget as impacts invoicing)
• Prepares monthly project draws and coordinates and reviews change order pricing
• Reconciles project financials at month-end
• Initiates project close-out and pushes deficiency corrections
• Other duties as required/directed

Requirements

• Current and valid "Reliability" level security clearance
• Valid G class or Class 5 license for job site travels
• ASP certification/training
• Bilingual preferred
• Able to work under pressure and with little supervision
