Job Description

Company Overview: At Tru, we are more than just a technology agency—we are strategic partners committed to driving digital transformation for enterprise-level clients. Position Overview: As a Project Manager at Tru, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of technology projects for our enterprise clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget while fostering positive client relationships. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You Bring:
  • Organization & Coordination: Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage timelines and competing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Identifies issues early and develops practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey ideas, updates, and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Growth-Oriented: Eager to learn and develop new skills in a supportive team environment.
Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and scopes to align with client goals and organizational objectives.
  2. Coordinate project tasks, schedules, and milestones, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  3. Track project progress and identify potential risks, addressing challenges proactively.
  4. Prepare project documentation, including task lists, schedules, and status updates.
  5. Support the creation of clear and organized project artifacts such as project charters and SOWs.
  6. Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and project transparency.
  7. Coordinate status meetings and updates to keep stakeholders informed on project progress.
  8. Address client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Build trust with clients by understanding their needs and supporting the achievement of their goals.
  10. Work closely with development, design, strategy, and QA teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  11. Foster a positive and solutions-oriented work environment.
  12. Collaborate with other project managers to ensure alignment across multiple initiatives.
  13. Identify potential risks and dependencies, escalating issues when necessary.
  14. Document decisions, risks, and actions to maintain organized project records.
  15. Proactively resolve roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
  16. Support resource planning and task allocation in collaboration with team leads.
  17. Monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project scope.

Requirements:

  1. Residency in the Greater Toronto Area, with availability for in-person meetings as needed.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in project management, preferably in a technology agency, digital consultancy, or related environment.
  3. Experience managing digital or technology projects, such as website development, UX/UI design, or e-commerce solutions.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  6. Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience in retail, finance, consumer packaged goods, or loyalty programs.
