ADP is hiring a Project Manager

This highly visible role will report to the Director of the Strategic Initiatives PMO, overseeing company-wide projects and programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership and project teams to manage enterprise initiatives from discovery through closure.

They will oversee project development, communication, control, and execution with a focus on value creation, ensuring that partners understand and adhere to timelines and quality standards, and resources are allocated effectively.

General Responsibilities:
  1. Execute the Project Management methodology, leading projects from inception to completion, managing tasks throughout the project lifecycle, and maximizing stakeholder relationships.
  2. Ensure effective change management, including post-launch adoption and adherence.
  3. Gain commitment, alignment, and engagement from project team members, adhering to project management standards aligned with ADP’s mission and values.
  4. Manage a project team across multiple business units, following established implementation methodologies, tools, and processes.
  5. Maintain project control in a virtual, matrix-managed environment by overseeing development, communication, and execution of project goals.
  6. Plan, schedule, and control activities of complex business projects.
  7. Monitor project deliverables, maintaining key documents to ensure process adherence and goal achievement.
  8. Manage relationships as the primary contact and escalation point for stakeholders.
  9. Maintain focus on exceeding stakeholder expectations and proactively assess satisfaction.
  10. Monitor quality and productivity using established metrics.
  11. Develop professional relationships across business units to ensure project quality.
  12. Oversee escalation and resolution of project issues, assigning responsibilities appropriately.
  13. Provide feedback on team performance and individual contributions.
  14. Create, modify, and deploy the project management framework for initiatives.
  15. Ensure project health reporting and risk assessments are in place.
  16. Establish clear goals and action plans to monitor progress and address gaps.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements to Succeed in this Role:
  • 5-10 years of project management experience in software, tech, or telecom.
  • Effective communication skills across all mediums, including with C-level executives.
  • Proven team leadership ability.
  • Knowledge of functional areas and related products (preferred).
  • Project leadership skills demonstrated.
  • Professional certifications (PMP) required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, analysis, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to articulate clear direction and champion processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Consulting background is a plus.
