Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Portfolio & Project Coordination Specialist in Montreal to support the Release Train Engineer and drive governance across portfolios. You will consolidate progress, risks, and dependencies, and produce executive dashboards for decision-makers.

With 3–5 years of agile-focused coordination experience, you will partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to maintain an integrated view of progress and benefits realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or portfolio management support.
• Experience in an Agile, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management, governance, and portfolio management principles.
• Experience preparing management reports and executive dashboards.
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools (Jira, Clarity CA PPM, or equivalent).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
• PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or another relevant certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as a coordination partner for the portfolio and the Release Train Engineer (RTE).
• Provide integrated tracking of portfolio initiatives and projects, as well as initiatives under the RTE’s responsibility.
• Consolidate information on progress, issues, risks, dependencies, and expected benefits.
• Prepare dashboards, performance indicators, and periodic reports for governance bodies.
• Collaborate on planning and updating portfolio roadmaps.
• Support the identification of priorities and follow up on actions decided during committees, workshops, and coordination ceremonies.
• Coordinate the preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of governance meetings.
• Ensure the effective flow and quality of information among delivery teams, business units, and stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain project and portfolio management tools to track schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Support the RTE with planning, work tracking, and logistics for Agile Release Train activities and initiatives.
• Track cross-team dependencies and escalations.
• Contribute to risk management and the continuous improvement of project and portfolio management processes, tools, and practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, managers, and stakeholders to maintain an integrated view of progress.

• Experience in an Agile, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management, governance, and portfolio management principles.
