Job description

The Project Manager role involves leading and driving cross-functional teams to deliver complex technology initiatives using structured methodologies and tools. The position requires strong technical competency, business knowledge, and expertise in SAFe/Agile frameworks and SDLC processes. Key responsibilities include managing project lifecycles, establishing governance, optimizing deployment schedules, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. This role demands excellent communication, stakeholder management, financial acumen, and the ability to mentor teams while working in a predominantly remote environment with minimal travel.

Job Description
  1. Drive and lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of programs, projects, and deployment efforts for assigned initiatives.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Technology, Businesses, and Member Firms. Meet regularly with these individuals to ensure continued alignment with business and organizational needs across assigned programs/projects.
  3. Develop and demonstrate strong business knowledge and technical competency on assigned initiatives.
  4. Establish effective and appropriate project/program governance.
  5. Influence and foster an environment of shared accountability across initiatives.
  6. Manage the day-to-day activities of project managers, deployment, and other team members on assigned projects/programs.
  7. Work with all stakeholders to identify and confirm necessary project/program and deployment resources throughout the project lifecycle and resolve resource availability conflicts across assigned initiatives.
  8. Build detailed program/project and deployment master schedules and promote collaboration through collaboration sites and enterprise platforms.
  9. Lead program/project issue/risk management, remediation plans, and escalations across channels, studios/service areas for projects/programs – responsible for providing management direction in these areas and ensuring clear communication, consideration of all factors, generation of solution alternatives, and defined actionable plans.
  10. Establish deployment schedules and negotiate deployment timelines that optimize the value for the assigned initiative for technology stakeholders and Member Firms.
  11. Lead deployment activities for implemented solutions into the Member Firms maximizing business value.
  12. Create deployment artifacts and lead go-live readiness assessments and checklists.
  13. Conduct ongoing examination of projects/programs for compliance with established processes, project plans, deployment schedules, budgets, influencing decisions on resource utilization at key lifecycle decision points.
  14. Prepare and deliver regular communications/reports/dashboards tailored to specific audiences to ensure sponsors, key stakeholders, CIO advisors, and leadership are adequately apprised of program/project statuses, successes, risks, and issues.
  15. Create, manage, and maintain project/program and deployment-related artifacts.
  16. Manage and track project/program budget/variance while taking corrective actions as needed.
  17. Demonstrate financial acumen through project/program budget optimization opportunities.
  18. Maintain oversight for project/program performance including the creation/review of key delivery metrics.
  19. Support value tracking initiatives for implemented solutions.
  20. Maintain credibility for all program/project/deployment deliverables on assigned initiatives.
  21. Stay informed about industry trends/leading practices in program/project management/deployment practices; propose changes to methodologies/frameworks to drive continuous improvement.
  22. Document lessons learned for organizational benefit.
  23. Support configuration/utilization/improvement of project/program management tools.
  24. Seek opportunities to enhance productivity by improving time-to-market, solution quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  1. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale cross-functional technology initiatives using structured methodologies/tools.
  2. Proven expertise in leading SAFe/Agile projects with strong SDLC knowledge.
  3. Experience managing projects/programs within ServiceNow platforms.
  4. Strategic thinker capable of connecting workstreams within a matrixed organization.
Other Qualifications:
  1. Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment; flexible/adaptive approach required.
  2. Strong planning/organization skills alongside analytical abilities, negotiation/presentation skills, stakeholder relationship management expertise.
  3. High degree of financial acumen (e.g., Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting).
  4. Proven success in recruiting/mentoring teams focused on client service while managing risk remotely/virtually.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
  6. Experience working with blended onshore/offshore teams as well as eco-partners/contractors.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required; this role is predominantly remote.
