Job summary

Remuda Building & Supplies in Southern Alberta is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects from sale through completion, coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and quality standards.

You will manage schedules, budgets, risks, and documentation, acting as the primary liaison for customers and cross-functional departments, while continuously seeking process improvements and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience in construction or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, purchasing, and project coordination.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing changing priorities.
  • Strong financial awareness with ability to monitor budgets and costs.
  • Experience using ERP systems and project management software is an asset.
  • PMP designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from sales handoff through project completion.
  • Enforce project stage gates and ensure readiness before advancing phases.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align designs, materials, manufacturing, deliveries, and construction with schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability; identify financial risks.
  • Review and manage project changes with approvals before work proceeds.
  • Identify risks early and develop solutions to minimize delays or costs.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure current information.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and concerns with customers and internal teams.
  • Work with Project Administrators to keep documentation, scheduling, and communication organized.
  • Support Construction teams by removing obstacles and ensuring readiness for each stage.
  • Build cross-department relationships to promote teamwork and efficient delivery.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve project processes and customer experience.

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from the time they are sold through to final completion. This role works closely with customers, Project Administrators, Sales, Design & Estimating, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Yard, Logistics, Construction, and Finance to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Remuda's quality standards. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping projects moving forward, solving issues as they arise, managing customer expectations, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the entire project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from sales handoff through project completion.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure all required information is current.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and any concerns with customers and internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Administrators to ensure project documentation, scheduling, and communication remain organized and up to date.
  • Support Construction teams by removing obstacles and ensuring projects are ready for each stage of execution.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments to promote teamwork and efficient project delivery.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve project processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, purchasing, and project coordination.
