Job summary

Defence Construction Canada is seeking a Technical Specialist, Project Management to lead planning and execution of large workplace transitions, including relocation across multiple facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with large-scale moves, occupancy planning and building readiness, while maintaining operational continuity.

Ideal candidates coordinate complex relocations, manage logistics, and ensure security clearances are aligned with project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum: college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
• Preferred: university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training in project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for long-term projects (approvals, statements of work, budgets, policies).
• Complete project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects.
• Support project approval processes by developing business cases and functional space programming.
• Coordinate stakeholder communications to ensure timely decision making.
• Participate in procurement planning and prepare tender documents.
• Coordinate consultant activities and act as the project director/manager representative.
• Develop and maintain relationships within DCC, with Client-Partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality standards meet corporate and Client-Partner expectations.
• Prepare monthly reports and support business development activities.
• Manage risk and perform other duties as assigned.
